The Edinburgh School on the Hill

This 1912 school building was the one-and-only schoolhouse in Edinburgh until 1964, when a new elementary school, East Side Elementary, was built. Then, in 1971, a new high school was built. The Class of '71 missed both new buildings by one year. The old building was used as a junior high school for several years until it was razed in the mid-1980's. (This is a painting on canvas by Rick Wilson, who painted it in 1977 and gave it to us as a Christmas present.)
